Terence McKenna on the digital age
This is similar to the Stephen Fry treatment below. I would have skipped some of the visual distractions (distressed type, sepia tones, fake film-reel noise, etc), but the structured presentation of type is pretty good. And like the Fry, the content is thought provoking.
Stephen Fry on Language
This example of kinetic typography by Matthew Rogers is quite long and the typography not terribly varied, but it is lovely to me because its content is so interesting. And the visual payoff after 6 minutes is pretty good.

The Girl Effect: Type in Motion
For my Transformation Design class in the MFA program, I presented the viral video campaign called The Girl Effect.
Their first video is a really interesting example of how effective and compelling a simple animation can be when it's well written, scored and, of course, designed. This entire piece is composed of type in just two colors. Good inspiration for our first assignment, so I thought I'd share it.
